ArtWell Net aims to establish a Arts and Wellbeing Network for joint learning and best practice sharing on Art on Prescription.
The positive effect of cultural interventions and arts-based community measures offering effective non-medical solutions for individuals with mild to moderate mental health conditions is well documented and recognized by the World Health Organization. Despite this recognition, a significant untapped potential remains, as only a few countries have systematically integrated these practices. To unlock this potential, arts-based interventions require stronger political recognition and systematic integration into national policies.
The project aims to establish a permanent Arts and Wellbeing Network for joint learning and expertise sharing on Art on Prescription. This Network will ensure the continuity of successful initiatives and expand collaboration by engaging new partners, ultimately representing the entire Baltic Sea Region, Nordic countries, and Ukraine. The project partner NDPHS collaboration framework will make the network sustainable after the project lifetime.
The first phase of the project will focus on knowledge exchange through conferences, workshops, and study visits. In the final phase, relevant stakeholders will be invited to join the ArtWell Network.
